Welcome

Sodabeh Miller, licensed MFT

Hello, allow me to introduce myself so that you have a better sense of my expertise and qualifications as a clinician. My name is Sodabeh (Sue-Dabeh) Miller, born in Tehran, Iran. I am mother of two beautiful children (son 25 years old & daughter 23 years old) who are two outstanding citizen of this world. In 1982, I received my Bachelors of Science in Pediatric Nursing from the University of Tehran, Medical School. I have lived in many different countries such as Pakistan, England, Scotland, and Switzerland. My family and I lived in Switzerland (1985-1991), where I received my second Pediatric Registered Nursing License from University Zurich Hospital.

In 1991, my family and I arrived in California. I began my education by obtaining the required courses for the RN Licensing Board in California. Although I finished the required courses and obtained a pre-licensed RN status in California, I had a strong desire to learn more about how to provide treatment to children without medication. I began the graduate program at California State University at Fullerton (CSUF) and in 2003, I acquired my Master of Science (with honors) in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling (MFCC). I obtained my first license as a professional counselor in 2006 from the State of New York (Lic. #MFC000183-1), and my second license in 2007 from the State of California (Lic. #MFC44871). In addition, I am certified as a Neurofeedback clinician, Hypnotherapist, Healing-Touch Practitioner, and pain management expert all from the Cypress College/Nursing Department.

My personal journey and professional expertise have fostered my ability to treat my clients successfully. With over twenty years experience working as a registered nurse in some of the major hospitals in the world (University Hospital Zurich, Switzerland) I have strengthened and advanced my knowledge and understanding of the developmental and biological aspects of my clients. Through my work in different countries I have been able to better understand clients from various cultural backgrounds, making it possible to work with clients from a wide range of experiences.

My philosophy in life is that human beings are all connected and we are not separate, competitive beings; rather, we are individuals whose happiness and peace are contingent upon the happiness and peace of others. I consider helping one another to reach the ultimate contentment and tranquility results in joy and harmony within the community at large, and that it is up to each one of us to make the next conscious step towards improving human development. In view of that, I consider my task (severing the family to become satisfy and content in their relationship and life) very serious since it will lead to prosperity within the community and in due course I gain my fulfillment. My dedication to community development and empowerment is evidenced by my numerous accomplishments throughout my life. Please, use this link community recognition & award to see some of my effort for betterment of my community.
