Pain Management
As a registered nurse and certified pain management, I have experiences the positive effect of hypnosis on my clients. There are numerous researches down in order to understand the pattern and reasons for the effectiveness of the hypnosis for pain management. Since as a clinician I am interested in methods such as neurofeedback (form of biofeedback) that work directly at the source of human’s control and main power or brain, I share some of the research have down studying hypnosis and its effect on brain pattern. One of which was down at the University of Iowa by Sebastian Schulz-Stubner, MD, Ph.D., an anesthesiologist. He reported approximately 65-70% of effectiveness of pain management with hypnosis, or time 2006 has indicated that surgical teams now prepare patients for surgery with hypnosis to reduce the needed anesthetic, simplify the procedure, reduce pain, and speed healing.
